BREAKING NEWS! Sadio Mane And Asisat Oshoala Wins African Player Of The Year Award


Senegal forward Sadio Mane and Nigeria's Asisat Oshoala has been named the 2019 African Player of the Year.
The Liverpool attacker defeated his club teammate Mohamed Salah and Manchester City star Riyad Mahrez to win his maiden individual award on the continent.
Mane enjoyed an outstanding campaign at club and international level last year, helping Senegal to the final of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, where they eventually lost to Algeria.
While Oshoala beats South African Thembi Kgatlana and Cameroon’s Ajara Nchout Njoya to win the award staged at Hurghada, Egypt on Tuesday.
The Nigerian superstar has earlier been crowned winner in 2014, 2016 and 2017 and has equalled the record of her mentor and compatriot Perpetua Nkwocha, who has been decorated four times – 2004, 2005, 2010, 2011
